Rest day in Cleveland area

A relaxing day. We went back to the R&R HoF to actually tour the exhibits instead of just pose for pictures and use the bathrooms. The only cloud on an otherwise beautiful day occurred as we were leaving the building. My sister Joanne drove down with us and left her car at a 2 hour meter. We emerged 2 hours and 10 minutes later to find a cop writing her a ticket for an expired meter. The cop handed her the ticket, despite Jo's efforts to convince him we were leaving and the meter had just expired. With a straight face the officer handed her the ticket saying "have a nice day.". Welcome to life in the big city.

We also met Bob and Maureen, friends of Joanne and her husband Peter, who plan to ride along with us tomorrow. We have been hoping to have some more bike rider companionship along the way, so that will be a treat. We laughed when they said they were worried that they would slow us down, since tandems generally go faster than single bikes. Bob and Maureen failed to account for the 50+ pounds of gear we are toting, which even on flat roads like those we expect to see tomorrow is a significant drag on our progress.
